How CloudAware processes and protects personal data.

2. Personal data we process

CloudAware processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. We process, where applicable:

  • First and last name
  • Address details
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • IP address
  • Other personal data that you actively provide (for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence, or by phone)
  • Location data
  • Data about your activities on our website
  • Internet browser and device type
  • Bank account number

3. Special and/or sensitive personal data

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have consent from a parent or guardian. We cannot verify a visitor’s age, so we encourage parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent data being collected without parental consent. If you believe we have collected personal data about a minor without consent, please contact privacy@cloudaware.eu and we will delete that information.

CloudAware processes your personal data for:

  • Handling your payment
  • Calling or emailing you if needed to deliver our services
  • Informing you about changes to our services and products
  • Delivering goods and services to you
  • Improving our website by analyzing visitor behavior and aligning our offering to preferences
  • Meeting legal obligations (e.g., data needed for our tax filings)

We rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in running and improving our services. Where required, we will request your consent.

5. Automated decision-making

CloudAware does not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

6. Retention periods

We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Typical retention periods include:

  • Telecom traffic data: up to 1 year (longer if required by a lawful forensic request)
  • Customer data: up to 7 years after contract termination
  • Web server logs: up to 1 year
  • Website analytics: up to 3 months

7. Sharing personal data with third parties

CloudAware only discloses data to third parties when necessary for performing our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

8. Cookies (or similar techniques)

CloudAware uses only technical and functional cookies, plus analytical cookies that do not infringe your privacy. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device during your first visit. These cookies are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use (for example, remembering preferences). You can disable cookies by configuring your browser not to store them, and you can delete previously stored cookies via your browser settings.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, object to processing, and request data portability (having us send your data to you or another organization).
Send your request to privacy@cloudaware.eu. To verify your identity, please include a copy of your ID with your photo, MRZ, document number, and BSN (citizen service number) redacted. We respond as soon as possible and within four weeks.

10. Security of personal data

We take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. If you believe your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, contact our support or privacy@cloudaware.eu.
